In the last month, my beautiful little home that I’ve lived in for the last 13 months has started to fall to pieces. My gorgeous boyfriend moved from Geelong to Melbourne to open his first restaurant and the last month has been hell. Startups are stressful. Startups while juggling a new relationship with a woman that doesn’t do well with stressful situations? You don’t get to see the behind the scenes. The struggles. The insecurities. The moments when they were just like you, wondering what they can do to be happier. And as soon as I’d handed over those keys, all of a sudden, I could breathe again.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-mce-style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eIt’s a funny thing building a business - it’s a never-ending cycle of growth, death and rebirth, and the business grows (or sometimes dies), with you - depending on where you’re at. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-mce-style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eI’ve watched Be. grow from this tiny seedling, into a business that thrived, then one that struggled to survive as I began dealing with a whole bunch of challenges that life threw at me in a short space of time.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-mce-style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eDuring that “rough patch” - Be. changed once again. It became an outlet for sharing about pain. My life was a shit show, and I wasn’t going to pretend it was anything but. I was going through the darkest period of my life, and Be. felt like a place I could just show up and be myself. Stuck in the past. Stuck in the stories I was sharing online. I didn’t know. I didn’t know what life looked like while thriving. I’d always survived my life.
